My daughter has ADHD and finds long study sessions really difficult. Her tutor structures sessions differently - shorter focused bursts with frequent changes of activity. She has never been able to concentrate on learning for this long before. Her GCSE maths grade has gone from a 3 to a predicted 7. Eight sessions a month. The adapted approach made everything possible.
Honestly brilliant. My daughter has gone from failing Leaving Cert chemistry to predicted H3. I dont fully understand how her tutor did it but I am not asking questions. Thank you Daresne.

Daughter struggled with structuring geography essays and applying case studies. Tutor was really good at drilling exam technique. She went from a C to an A in her last assessed piece of work. School teacher commented the work had improved noticeably. Pleased with how things have gone.
We started in September expecting to see results by Christmas. It took until February before her maths really started to improve. Her tutor is good and my daughter likes her but I think we had unrealistic expectations of how quickly it would happen. She is predicted a 6 now from a 4 so we are happy overall.

Was worried whether Daresne could help with Scottish qualifications but the tutor was completely familiar with National 5 curriculum and exam format. Son has improved a lot and feels much more confident. Would recommend to other Scottish parents.
The creative writing section was bleeding marks. He is a capable kid but had no idea how to structure a descriptive piece under timed conditions. Two months of specific work on this with his Daresne tutor and he has gone up three grade boundaries on it. His English teacher mentioned the improvement without being told. Four stars rather than five - we had a slow start getting matched - but the teaching itself has been excellent.
