My daughter came home with a D in her first biology mock and we were really worried. Son needed to retake A level chemistry after getting a D. Needed a C for his pharmacy degree course. Daresne tutor was brilliant and targeted the areas he had dropped marks in. He got a B in his retake and has now started his degree. So relieved.
My daughter found Junior Cert biology really dry and never engaged with it outside of class. After about six sessions with her Daresne tutor she started talking about things she had learned at home - asking questions, watching nature documentaries.
