My son improved in English which is what we needed. The tutor is good. I am giving four rather than five because communication between sessions could be better — sometimes I was not sure what had been covered or what to expect next. That said the grades improved and that is what matters.

The quality of teaching has been really good for my daughter in Leaving Cert biology. My only hesitation is the cost which is not trivial on a tight budget. That said she has improved significantly and I think we will continue. Four stars because the value is there but it is a stretch for some families.
Our tutor for GCSE Spanish has been brilliant. Patient, well prepared, clearly knows the AQA spec inside out. My one gripe is that twice she had to cancel with less than 24 hours notice which was frustrating when my daughter had planned her revision around it. Four stars overall — the teaching quality is a five.

We went through two tutors before finding one that worked for my son in maths. Both previous ones were fine but just did not click with him personally. Third time was the charm and he has been doing really well since. Would be five stars if the first match had been right. Still a solid recommendation.

Son has improved in Leaving Cert maths since starting with Daresne but there is still a way to go. Tutor is good and knowledgeable about the Irish curriculum. Progress has been a bit slower than I hoped but it is real and measurable. Would probably recommend but with realistic expectations.

Daughter has been with Daresne for 4 months and has gone up a grade in maths. Tutor is patient and thorough. Only slight issue is occasionally tutor is a few minutes late starting which is a bit annoying when you have paid for a full hour. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning.
