First couple of sessions werent great if im honest. Daughter wasnt engaging and I wasnt sure it was worth continuing. Messaged Daresne and they changed approach quickly. After that it was a lot better. She actually enjoys English now so cant complain. Would have given 5 stars except for the slow start. Good communication from the team overall.

Son could talk about books fine but written answers were all over the place. Tutor has been good at getting him to structure arguments and use quotes properly. He is not a natural writer so progress has been gradual but real. Would give 5 stars but we had to change tutors once early on which was disruptive. Got sorted but worth mentioning.
This time last year daughter was getting 4s in English language and was disheartened. Started Daresne in January and she got a 7 in her mock in November. Improvement in her writing is really visible. She now actually enjoys writing which I never thought I would say. Tutor has been incredibly patient and encouraging.

Son needed a 5 in English. Got a 6. Job done.
Daughter got a 7 in maths and a 6 in English which were the grades she needed for her sixth form place. Started Daresne in January and had about 3 sessions a fortnight across both subjects. Good value for what we got. Would definitely use again for A levels.
My son improved in English which is what we needed. The tutor is good. I am giving four rather than five because communication between sessions could be better — sometimes I was not sure what had been covered or what to expect next. That said the grades improved and that is what matters.

We have now used Daresne for three of our children across different subjects and year groups. Each time the tutor has been excellent and the progress real and measurable. Pricing is fair and the matching process finds tutors who are a good fit for the child. Would definitely use Daresne again.

Son has always been a reluctant writer and English was his weakest subject. Tutor has been really good at making essay writing feel less daunting. He now has a proper structure he uses and his marks have improved a lot. School teacher commented on the improvement without knowing he had a tutor.
