Daughter is yr9 and we wanted to get ahead before GCSEs. Maths sessions have been really good. Tutor sends a short message after each one saying what they covered and what to look at before next time which I really like, keeps things on track. She has started asking for extra sessions which says everything.
Two children using Daresne. One doing GCSE maths, other A level economics. Both are getting better. Economics tutor is particularly strong, uses real world examples rather than just the textbook which suits my son much better. Its not the cheapest option but the quality is there. Happy with it overall.
Maths grade went up two levels. Enough said.
My son had always found verbal reasoning difficult. Six months of prep with Daresne and he passed for both schools he sat. Tutor was brilliant at keeping him motivated and not stressed which was half the battle. Would recommend to anyone doing 11+ prep.

Daughter had a really negative attitude toward maths after a difficult yr8. By yr10 she had basically given up on getting anything decent at GCSE. Tutor spent time rebuilding her confidence before even getting into exam technique. She is now predicted a 6 and does her maths homework without being asked.
Quality of teaching has been really high and son has gone from a 4 to a predicted 6. Only reason not 5 stars is the first few weeks had scheduling confusion and a session was missed without warning. Got sorted and since then has been really smooth. Would still recommend.

Started with Daresne for son in Year 5 who was falling behind in maths. Within a term he had caught up. By the end of Year 5 he was actually one of the stronger students in his class. Tutor was really good at keeping sessions fun. Good option for primary support.
We started in September expecting to see results by Christmas. It took until February before her maths really started to improve. Her tutor is good and my daughter likes her but I think we had unrealistic expectations of how quickly it would happen. She is predicted a 6 now from a 4 so we are happy overall.
