Son doing Leaving Cert chemistry and needed a tutor familiar with the Irish curriculum specifically. Daresne found someone really well versed in the Leaving Cert specification and past paper style. Progress has been excellent and we are confident going into the exams.
Daughter doing triple science and struggling across all three. Started with biology first and then added chemistry and physics once we saw the improvement. All three grades have gone up by one or two grades. Tutors have been brilliant and sessions well structured.
The quality of teaching has been really good for my daughter in Leaving Cert biology. My only hesitation is the cost which is not trivial on a tight budget. That said she has improved significantly and I think we will continue. Four stars because the value is there but it is a stretch for some families.
Son needed to retake A level chemistry after getting a D. Needed a C for his pharmacy degree course. Daresne tutor was brilliant and targeted the areas he had dropped marks in. He got a B in his retake and has now started his degree. So relieved.

Just got my A level results. As in chemistry and biology, B in maths. Was predicted lower in all three. My Daresne tutors across all three subjects were brilliant. The chemistry tutor especially was outstanding. Starting my biomedical science degree in a few weeks. Glad we found them.

Daughter was predicted a C in A level biology and needed higher for her medicine application. Eight months with her Daresne tutor and she sat the exam predicted an A. She got her medicine offer. I still do not fully understand how the improvement was so significant but it was.

Daughter is in the top set for science but wanted to push for top grades. Tutor has been brilliant at stretching her thinking beyond what she needs for the exam. She now approaches questions with much more depth and confidence. On track for all 9s which was the ambition.
