Daughter was applying for a grammar school that requires an entrance test. Daresne put together a really structured preparation plan. She sat the test in November and got a place. Tutor was brilliant at keeping her calm and confident as well as doing the actual preparation.
My son started sessions a year ago getting 4s in biology. He is now predicted an 8 and has put it down as one of his A level choices. Eight sessions a month throughout. The tutor made the subject come alive - not just teaching what to write in exams but why biology actually works the way it does. That curiosity made all the difference to the grades.
The tutor is genuinely good and my daughter has improved in Junior Cert science. Took about three sessions to find the right rhythm. Four stars because of that settling in period but has been five star quality since.

My daughter found geography really boring before Daresne. Her tutor connects everything to real places and real events and makes it feel relevant rather than textbook. She has started watching travel documentaries on her own and saying things about geography at dinner. Her marks have improved significantly. The engagement shift was the real change.
