Cannot fault Daresne. My son needed A level biology support and they found a brilliant tutor within a couple of days. He is now predicted an A. Eight sessions a month throughout year 13.
My son had his GCSE French speaking assessment last week and told me it felt like one of his regular Daresne sessions. His tutor had been doing mock speaking assessments in every session for the last two months, including unexpected questions and how to handle them without falling apart. He said when it was actually happening it felt routine. That is brilliant preparation.
Nearly five stars. Sessions with Jamie have been excellent and Junior Cert science is going well. Taking off one star only because it took a few emails back and forth to get the schedule sorted initially. Once that was done everything has been smooth. Would recommend.
My daughter is a panicky exam student. Her Daresne tutor spent time on exam technique alongside the content. She taught her to read the whole question twice before writing anything, to underline what it is actually asking, and to write a brief plan first. My daughter came out of her first GCSE paper and said she had done all of that and it helped. That is all I wanted to hear.
Honestly more than I expected. I thought online tutoring would feel impersonal but it really doesnt. Her tutor has been great and my daughter has improved alot in Leaving Cert biology. Really glad we tried it.
Been with Daresne nearly a year now. Daughter started yr12 really struggling with edexcel maths, getting Ds and stressing constantly. After maybe 6 or 7 weeks something shifted. Tutor explains things in a way that just clicks with her. Getting Bs now and got a C in her mock which we were so relieved about. Biology sessions going well too. Would recommend.

My son was really bad at Spanish honestly. Written work weak and he would freeze up in speaking practice. Tried a few things before Daresne. Tutor went through every past paper format with him properly and he is now predicted an A in all components. Still a bit shocked. He actually looks forward to sessions now which I never thought id be saying.
