Daughter struggled with structuring geography essays and applying case studies. Tutor was really good at drilling exam technique. She went from a C to an A in her last assessed piece of work. School teacher commented the work had improved noticeably. Pleased with how things have gone.
We started in September expecting to see results by Christmas. It took until February before her maths really started to improve. Her tutor is good and my daughter likes her but I think we had unrealistic expectations of how quickly it would happen. She is predicted a 6 now from a 4 so we are happy overall.
Was worried whether Daresne could help with Scottish qualifications but the tutor was completely familiar with National 5 curriculum and exam format. Son has improved a lot and feels much more confident. Would recommend to other Scottish parents.

Daughter was retelling stories in essays rather than analysing them. Very common problem apparently. Tutor was excellent at teaching how to structure analysis properly. School marked work has improved from Cs to As. Really happy.
Son was failing every assessment in economics. Not close failing, properly failing. His tutor spent the first session just finding out what he understood and what he did not rather than rushing to cover content. Two months later he passed his most recent assessment. His teacher asked if something had changed.
Son doing GCSE chemistry and has gone from a 4 to a 6 since January. Tutor explains clearly and is patient. Had one or two sessions where internet connection caused problems which was frustrating but probably just bad luck. Overall happy with the progress.
Son did not get the grade he needed in GCSE maths first time. Found Daresne for the resit and he passed with a grade 5. Tutor was very focused on areas he had specifically struggled with rather than starting from scratch. Very efficient approach and it worked.

Just got my A level results and I got an A in chemistry which I honestly did not think was possible six months ago. Was predicted a C.
