We had one tutor change early on which was slightly disruptive but Daresne sorted it quickly and without any fuss. The second tutor has been really solid for National 5 maths. Son is predicted a B. Would have been five stars without the initial change but four is still a strong recommendation.

Daughter got a 7 in maths and a 6 in English which were the grades she needed for her sixth form place. Started Daresne in January and had about 3 sessions a fortnight across both subjects. Good value for what we got. Would definitely use again for A levels.
Daughter had been getting Cs and Ds in psychology and was starting to lose confidence in it. Her Daresne tutor approached the research methods section completely differently to her school and it made a big difference. She went from a D to a B in her most recent assessment. Son in Year 10 doing GCSE maths a year early. Needed extra support to keep up with the pace. Daresne has been really helpful. Tutor is very good at identifying exactly where the gaps are rather than wasting time on things he already knows. He has passed all in-school assessments so far.
Daughter was applying for a grammar school that requires an entrance test. Daresne put together a really structured preparation plan. She sat the test in November and got a place. Tutor was brilliant at keeping her calm and confident as well as doing the actual preparation.
Son understood the historical content well but kept dropping marks on source analysis questions. His tutor worked out quickly that he was describing sources rather than analysing them. Six weeks of focused work on that one skill and his mark on source questions went up by about 12 marks. Predicted a 7 now.
Son was getting 2s and 3s in maths. After 6 months with Daresne he has gone from failing to being predicted a 5 which is all he needs. Transformation has been remarkable honestly. Tutor has been fantastic at building his confidence and filling in gaps from previous years.
