Son came home after his first session and said it was the best physics lesson he had ever had. He has had quite a few tutors over the years so that means something. Sticking with Daresne.
Good. Not quite perfect - we had one session cancelled with short notice. But the tutor is excellent and my son has gone from a 4 to a predicted 7 in maths. Would still recommend.
My daughter chose Arabic GCSE and finding a tutor who actually knew the exam specification rather than just the language was the challenge. Daresne found someone excellent. Her written Arabic improved significantly and she is now predicted a 9. The tutor understood exactly what the examiner is looking for.
My daughter seriously considered dropping Higher chemistry after her first set of assessments came back poorly. We decided to try Daresne for a term before making that decision. Her tutor was patient and methodical and within eight weeks her marks had improved enough that she wanted to carry on. She is now predicted a B.

He is predicted a 7 and told me last week that physics makes sense to him now, which is honestly the first time in three years I have heard that. Eight sessions a month, been going since October.

Good overall. My son has improved in Higher maths and enjoys his sessions which is more than I expected. Four stars only because the matching took slightly longer than advertised but once we had the right tutor things moved quickly.
