My son used to dread maths and would kick off about homework. After about 8 sessions with Daresne something changed. He now does extra practice without being asked which I honestly never expected. Tutor explains things at his pace and doesnt make him feel bad for not getting it first time. Made a huge difference to his confidence.

We do 16 sessions a month split between the two languages. I was sceptical about whether that was too much but it has genuinely worked. French up two grades. Spanish up two grades. My daughter said having two different tutors actually helped because the styles are different and she had to adapt. That felt like an unexpected bonus.

My daughter found Junior Cert history really dry. Too many dates and facts to memorise with no sense of why it mattered. Her tutor changed that completely - taught it as causes and consequences rather than facts and dates. By week three my daughter was asking to read around topics on her own. Marks improved significantly. About six months now on eight sessions a month.
Exactly what I hoped for. My son was really struggling with Leaving Cert economics and his tutor has sorted it out completley. He is predicted H2 now from H5. Eight sessions a month since October. So pleased.

Son is doing both A level maths and further maths. Daresne found one tutor who covers both and it has been excellent. He was struggling with the proof and mechanics elements and those are now his strongest areas. On track for A stars in both. The tutor is clearly very strong mathematically and explains things precisely.
