Very happy. Eight sessions a month, four months in. Son has improved a lot in Leaving Cert economics and enjoys the sessions.
My son was fine on the non-calculator paper but fell apart on the calculator. I asked whether we could focus purely on that. His tutor said yes and stuck to it. Felt like a risk being that narrow but his mock result on the calculator paper went from a 3 to a 7. Overall predicted grade now a 6 up from a 4.
The six-mark extended answer questions were killing his biology grade. He knew the content but the answers were not structured for the mark scheme. Two sessions with his Daresne tutor purely on that, a simple framework, and he has not dropped marks on them since. Tiny change that made a meaningful difference to his overall grade. We have been on twelve sessions a month since September.
Bit of a mixed experience. The tutoring quality has been decent and my son has improved in GCSE maths, going from a 4 to a predicted 6. But I found the onboarding a bit confusing at first and the first tutor was not a good match. It took about a month to sort properly. Once we had the right tutor it was much better. Three stars overall but four stars for the actual teaching once it was sorted.

First couple of sessions werent great if im honest. Daughter wasnt engaging and I wasnt sure it was worth continuing. Messaged Daresne and they changed approach quickly. After that it was a lot better. She actually enjoys English now so cant complain. Would have given 5 stars except for the slow start. Good communication from the team overall.

Started 11+ prep with Daresne about 7 months before the test. Daughter is on the shy side and I worried she wouldnt open up over video but she got on brilliantly from the start. Verbal reasoning was the weak spot and by the end she was flying through practice papers. She got into her first choice school. We are absolutely thrilled.

My son kept losing marks on the six-mark extended answer questions. He knew the content but could not structure a response that earned full marks. His tutor spent two sessions purely on this and showed him a framework. He has not dropped marks on those questions since. Small change with a big effect on his grade.
Worth every penny. Daughter went from H5 to predicted H2 in chemistry. Her tutor Niamh has been fantastic.
