Daughter was struggling with reading comprehension in Year 4 and falling behind her class. Her tutor made sessions feel more like reading together than a lesson which helped her relax into it. Her comprehension scores at school have improved noticeably. She actually asks to read now which she never did before.
Son needed an A in A level maths to get onto his preferred engineering course. He was predicted a B. Daresne tutor focused on the harder topics and exam technique. He got the A and started his engineering degree in September.

Son is fine with the theory side of computer science but the programming elements were letting him down. His tutor focused specifically on Python and problem-solving technique in the mock papers. He has gone from failing the programming questions to getting close to full marks on them. Pleased with how focused the sessions have been.
Just got my A level results. As in chemistry and biology, B in maths. Was predicted lower in all three. My Daresne tutors across all three subjects were brilliant. The chemistry tutor especially was outstanding. Starting my biomedical science degree in a few weeks. Glad we found them.

Daughter speaks Arabic at home but her GCSE was suffering because conversational Arabic and exam Arabic are completely different things. Her tutor understood this immediately and focused purely on what the mark scheme rewards. She went from a 5 to a predicted 9. Still a bit surprised by that.
Daughter got into her first choice to study law. Needed ABB and got AAB. A level English literature tutor at Daresne was a huge part of that. Support was really excellent throughout and we could see the improvement month on month. We were over the moon when that result came in.

Son has ADHD and finds it hard to focus for long periods. Tutor was made aware and completely adapted her approach. Sessions are more dynamic with varied activity and shorter focused bursts. His progress has been remarkable and school is noticing the improvement too. Impressed with the quality.

Son has dyslexia and has always found English very difficult. Tutor used approaches that work better for dyslexic learners. He has made more progress in the last six months than in the previous two years. His confidence has also improved a lot which is probably the most important thing.
