Exactly what my daughter needed. She was very nervous about getting a tutor and Emma put her at ease straightaway. Higher biology has really come on.
Really pleased. My son has improved alot in Leaving Cert maths. Tutor is patient and knows his stuff.
Her school suggested she move to foundation tier maths. We did not accept that. We signed up for 16 sessions a month for the final year and her tutor Hannah worked on higher tier content only, never retreated to foundation. She got a 7. She is going to her sixth form of choice. That is all I wanted and it happened.
Four stars. The tutoring quality is genuinely good and my son has improved in GCSE biology. One star off because the first session felt slightly disorganised but it has been great since. Would still recommend.
Will keep this short. Son got a U in his AS chem mock in October. Desperate. Started Daresne in November, two sessions a week. By Feb his teacher was predicting a B. I dont know what the tutor did differently to school but it worked. Online lessons which I was sceptical about but no issues at all.
Daughter is yr9 and we wanted to get ahead before GCSEs. Maths sessions have been really good. Tutor sends a short message after each one saying what they covered and what to look at before next time which I really like, keeps things on track. She has started asking for extra sessions which says everything.
D in A level maths at the start of year 13. University offers looking shaky. His tutor Ali was very systematic about it - identified exactly which topics were bleeding marks and worked through them one by one. February mocks came back predicted an A. We are very relieved. Twelve sessions a month from October.
My son has improved a little in Leaving Cert maths but I expected more by this stage. The tutor is fine and turns up reliably which I appreciate. I just dont feel like the sessions are targeted enough at the actual exam. Going to give it another couple of months before deciding what to do.
