My son needed combined science and Spanish at a 5 or his college course would not take him. School had more or less given up on him getting there. We started in January, 8 sessions a month across both subjects. Combined science came back as a 6. Spanish a 6. His college tutor has already said he is one of the better prepared students in his group. That was not something I expected to hear.

Started preparing my daughter for year 6 SATs with Daresne in January. The tutor was really good at keeping it light and not making it feel like extra school. She sailed through the SATs and got the top score in her year. We have now signed her up for year 7 maths to keep the momentum going.
Really good. My daughter went from dreading Junior Cert science to actually looking forward to it. The change in attitude has been the biggest thing.
Non-verbal reasoning was holding my son back on practice papers. His tutor spent the first month almost entirely on this. By month three his non-verbal scores were the strongest part of his paper. He passed the 11+. Could not be more pleased with the result. Eight sessions a month for seven months.
