My daughter started year 13 with a D in biology and needed a B for her university offer. One year with Daresne and she is now predicted an A. The tutor is brilliant at linking topics together so the content stops feeling like a list of disconnected facts. She says the subject finally makes sense.
Was concerned Daresne would not have tutors familiar with the CCEA examining board used in Northern Ireland. Was wrong. Tutor they found for daughter has excellent knowledge of the CCEA specification and past paper style. Her progress has been brilliant. Recommend to other parents in Northern Ireland.
My daughter was finding A level sociology essays really difficult. She could explain everything verbally but on paper her answers were too conversational and not structured for the mark scheme. Her tutor sorted this out in about six weeks. Now she gets As on essays she would have got Cs on before. It was really about understanding what the examiner wants.

My son has dyslexia and has always found English really hard. He can talk brilliantly about everything but writing it down is a real struggle. His Daresne tutor used different methods - more discussion, voice notes, mind maps before writing - and it genuinely helped. His English mark went up by two grades and he feels less overwhelmed by it.
