Failed the maths resit twice before finding Daresne. Grade 5 needed for nursing, kept falling just short. My tutor Sophie was very practical about it - focused entirely on the question types I kept getting wrong, nothing more. Passed the third attempt with a 5. Nursing course starts September. Very grateful.

My daughter is a brilliant performer but the written theory component of A level drama was letting her down badly. Her Daresne tutor helped her understand how to write analytically about theatrical conventions and how to reference productions effectively. Her theory mark went from a fail to the top grade in her cohort. Exactly the support she needed.
Bs and Cs in A level maths for over a year and nobody had worked out why. My son was getting H4s and H5s across both Leaving Cert biology and chemistry at the start of sixth year. Two sessions a week each through Daresne and both are now on H2 targets. The tutors are knowledgeable about the Irish curriculum and the improvement has been consistent. Really pleased with how the year has gone.

My daughter was scoring well on verbal reasoning but consistently poor on the maths section of 11+ papers. Her Daresne tutor focused almost entirely on this for the first two months. By the third month her maths scores were as strong as her verbal reasoning. She passed the 11+ and got into her first choice school.
